Apo Nak Di Kato!

Oh noes.. adik-adikku nak join Pemuda UMNO ker... errr errr... well it's good they are in touch with the political scene (both of them are definitely Prime Minister material!!!) but jangan join/sokong Mat Rempit sudah ler... Sun 26-Aug-2007 15:54

Tak pe kalau nak active in politics....but must have altruistic agendas and about time UMNO youth have the transparency, accountability, environmental and sustainable issues to be campaigned and practiced!! I hope my boys will further that cause...tapiiiii...caya lahhhh..tak leh tahan lama lah!! Those 4 issues may be totally alien to umno politics.... Mon 27-Aug-2007 01:55

Baba & Mummy Moonlighting For EZ Party @ Shell Event, Putrajaya

And for all that hard work, Baba felt it JUSTIFIED to have one plate nasi lemak and 2 doughnuts for breakfast, and then 1 bungkus of mee hoon Singapore, 3 ice creams (at least that's what I saw him eat...behind my back tak tahu lah berape....) and then a plateful of rice with lauk2 yang berminyak!! No wonder he does not want to go for the next medical check up!! Sun 26-Aug-2007 13:16

Melbourne Trip 8 - 15 Aug 2007 for Izhar's Graduation

To Mak Teh:

Thanks for ciompliments abt the suits! Itu Chiengmai mari !! But very good qaulity cloth and workmanship. Suitable for colder weather tho', sb tu tak pernah pakai kat Malaysia!

To Linad:
The currypuffs contain potatoes, some minced meat and daun sop, as you call it! Its cooked with some chilli powder, curry powder as well as some cumin (jintan manis). Aunty only makes currypuffs in foreign lands as susah nak dapat...kalau kat Malaysia, beli je!!

Chaperon Kak Long - 10th. Rainforest World Music Festival

Fancy Baba turned chaperon for Kak Long to the 10th. Anniversary Rainforest World Music Festival http://www.rainforestmusic-borneo.com at the Sarawak Cultural Village Santubong, Kuching Sarawak from the 13th-15th July 2007!
When the flight and accomodation bookings were made three months ago, mummy was not included as she could not make it because she will be involved in the preparatory work for a planning conference at the Concorde Hotel Shah Alam around the same period.

We were looking forward for the Friday 13 July 2007, 8.15am morning MAS flight (Super Savers fares were cheaper than Air Asia when I made the internet bookings) to Kuching. Unfortunately, the full Airbus 330 flight was delayed for almost seven hours!
Despite being tired on arrival at our hotel, the Holiday Inn Kuching City Centre, we nevertheless took the shuttle bus for the first night of the music festival and return way past midnight!. That became the routine for three consecutive nights!

I found it odd and amusing when Kak Long introduced me as her dad, to her friends who were also there! I just could not find any elderly daughter being accompanied by their fathers at that music festival. The girls either came with their girl friends or boy fiends! Some even said that I must be the coollest Dad in the world. I wonder what did they thought of my daughter!

The music festival was superb and enjoyable. For three nights the place was almost packed to the maximum capacity of about 8,000 people that it could accomodate. The reasons I enjoyed the show can be summarised as follow:
i) There wasn't a single jeering or booing to the performers. The audience respected the performers' music and culture.
ii) The audience gave all the performers a warm welcome and appreciation irrespective of whether they could dance or not to the tune of the music being performed.
iii) The performers adhered rigidly to their allocated time and managed to entertain and get the participation of the audience.
iv) It was indeed an international festival with so many tourists amongst the audience, some even having attended the previous music festival more than once!
v) Quite a number of the Malaysian audience whom we met were young proefessionals and executives (eg. doctors) who just wanted to enjoy and destress themselves from he pressures of work!

Undoubtably there were a lot of drinking, smoking and skimpy dressing (I would presume drugs were prohibited as there was a sniffing dog guarding at the entrance) at the festival but one did not have to be in that group to enjoy the festival.

Interestingly enough, the hotel's front desk staff informed us that some tourist have already made reservations and paid for hotel rooms for the next Rainforest World Music Festival to be held on the 11th-13th July 2008. I wonder whether Kak Long will still want me to be her chaperon if she decides to go again!

Tak tau nak kata...baba sporting ikut Kak Long ke, or Kak Long sporting ajak baba...I guess, both sporting la kot eh.... Sat 21-Jul-2007 04:39

Mending Our Broken Hearts!

hi mr moslim, may i know which one of the test includes the heart scan? is it the one called 'electrocardiogram'? Wed 11-Jul-2007 02:47
Posted by:laydiefa  - [Link]
Hi Ms Laydiefa, If I am not wrong the answer to your question with regard to heart scan test is CALCIUM SCORING.
You can find all the explanation of the various test by going to the the website I have mentioned above i.e. www.lifecare.com.my
Once you are there,
i) click 'Skip the Intro'
ii) click the menu for 'Health plans' and you will arrive at the above listing of the various tests
iii) you then click at the respective test for example 'Calcium Scoring' and you will get the full explanation about the test.
