1st Day...Sahur Roti/Serunding/Fruits...Buka Puasa Tuna Italian Tuna Sandwich
2nd Day...Sahur Roti/Serunding/Mee Maggi/Fruits...Buka Puasa Hard Rock Cafe Rome Grilled Salmon
3rd Day...Sahur same as 2nd Day...Buka Puasa Rome Indian Restaurant (Halal Chicken Meat!) Briyani Ayam, Vegetable Pakora (5 pieces!)
Supper For All Three Days...Restaurant Momento at Termini Station sambil Baba abd Mummy watching people passing bye and still could not find or select a suitable Italiano hunk for Kak Long!!
By the way Kak Long...makan kurma yang dalam gambar tu jugak!! Cerita Hansel and Gretel tu apa?? Tak pernah baca!! Orang kampung kan!

We are already in Geneva...Fullamak Hotel Best Gilee (boleh sahur lagi kat coffee housenya! but of course free!..And the conference organizer even refunded my plane tickets...terre le mummy...but i gave all the refunded money to her already...,so duit raya minta kat dia he!he!he!
MEANWHILE...I have to go to the conference (as spouse??  ) to balas budi for refunding the cost of my trip!

Selamat Berpuasa dan Selamat Berbuka Puasa. Disertakan juga waktu berbuka puasa (Sunset) bagi kawasan-kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya!!
We are supposed to leave on Friday 7 Oct 2005 but Emirates cancelled the Kuala Lumpur - Dubai sector flight thus leaving us with not much choice but to change flight one day earlier on Thursday 6 Oct 2005!
I am the accompanying spouse for mummy attending a S-Dev Geneva 05 Conference: Innovating Cities across the World in Geneva. She is supposed to moderate one of the parallel sessions on Sustainable Technologies - Transport and Regional Planning. I will be given a spouse pass to roam around the conference, exhibitions and free Geneva public transportation!
I also act as the travel agent...booking flight, transportation and accomodation (except Geneva by the conference organizer) all through the web !

Total cost of flying in Europe is less than the cost of a 5 day Eurail SelectPass!... but of course I booked early 2-3 months ahead!... have to fly during fasting month!!!

Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera everybody.
It is less than seven months away and therefore I will attempt to update and complete this Fotopages Project by the above date by collecting and relating all the events, happening, records and photographs during those memorable period! I have to learn how to use Fotopages, look for and scan photographs and records, resizing the files, understand HTML , refresh my memory, etc, etc,. That’s quite an effort for a 50 year old man. Nevertheless Insyaallah!

Not So Long Time Ago (25 – 30 light years!)….. to the sound of the film Star Wars with Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker!!!

Lets start with Aduh Khairiah!!!

irrespective of WORLD, I have to remember that I am Budak Kampung (born in Linggi, Negeri Sembilan) just like Mawi (Felda) but praying for Allah swt’s help not be booted out like Faizull in Malaysian Idol!!!
So please bear with my English as I will not be getting my beloved wife’s kind assistance and help in this Fotopages task. I have always relied on her to correct my English (tenses, sentences etc. etc. in my report writings etc!). But she can correct me where I am wrong in the comment section!
Why This Fotopages?
1. An Important Milestone Dedicated To My Beloved Wife.
My beloved wife always say that I don’t remember birthdays, anniversaries and what not. The fact is I am a forgetful person and was brought up to make ends meet and not accustomed to hearing Happy Birthday songs when I was young unlike her. Maklumlah Budak Kampung! Technology/Gadgets available nowadays do help in solving my problem with reminder but I hope this effort will erase any doubts about my sincerity in remembering our 25th. Wedding Anniversary.
Likewise I am now also using technology to dedicate this Fotopages (have to admit this is quite a significant effort to plan, compile, write etc, etc) to my beloved wife….our forthcoming 25th. Wedding Anniversary.
Our marriage/akad nikah was solemnized on the 18th. April 1981 (13 Jumadil Akhir 1401) at her parents house in Shah Alam. The wedding invitation for my parents house in Kampung Raja Uda (KRU…not the band!), Port Klang was for the following day i.e. the 19th. April 1981 (14 Jumadil Akhir 1401).
I still have several blank Invitation Cards for the 19th. April 1981 event at my parents house safely kept in one of those New Clear Folders for almost 25 years! It is therefore only fitting that I start this Fotopages with the scanned images of the invitation. How simple it was in those days 25 years ago!! Just address Tuan/Puan only. No Tan Sris/Puan Sris, Dato’/Datins etc. in the invitations!! (Not that my parents know a number of them in those days and nowadays!!). If there is any Tan Sris/Puan Sris, Dato’/Datins etc reading this fotopages, my thousand apologies!!! Identify yourself please!!
2. I Enjoy Visiting My Daughter Mufizah’s Fotopages
http://mufizah.fotopages.com is a joy to visit. If I am on the computer, I would frequently visit her fotopages after checking or sending any e-mails or googling for some information The joy and happiness it bring outweighs those infrequent fatherly concerns and worries at reading the entries and seeing the photographs on her fotopages. I do occasionally communicate with her in the comment section if there is something pertinent or relevant. In fact I dedicated my devotion to her when she posted a Golden message for my recent 50th. Birthday on the 2nd. March 2005, another important milestone of my life. Her musical inclination prompted me to imitate Dewa’s popular song Separuh Nafas in her comment section as follows:

So the 50th age milestone was dedicated to my beloved only daughter and this 25th Wedding Anniversary milestone is dedicated to my only wife. The two ladies (apart from my mother) that are important to my life! Of course I pray to Allah swt that I can reach another significant milestone in my life to write about but I doubt it very much that I can communicate effectively then. In future, I might have problem in doing things like pressing the computer keyboards and inserting emoticons or even worse my memory is fading!
My fascination with my daughter’s Fotopages will be overcome once I complete this effort. Furthermore it was me who started to teach her with some computing skills way back in the days when 5.25 floppy disks and IBM compatible computers were the in things. Now I am so far behind her! But that does not mean that I intend to be at par with her. I sure do not want to waste whatever precious time there is left with me with that effort!
3. There Are So Many Memorable Records And Photographs Stashed In The Cupboards At Home!
It is amazing the number of photographs taken using digital cameras and uploaded by users of Fotopages. Users happily archiving information and accessible to everyone anytime anywhere in the world through the web!
But 25 years ago there was no such thing available to us! I did not print many photographs during my university days because I loved to take pictures using slides (because I can show them on a large screen to my family members using slide projector and many were impressed then…wide screen using the white walls!!!!). Unfortunately, most of them were damaged attacked by termites when they were put into storage at my wife’s Kampung Jawa, Klang ancestral home when I went to London in 1993 with my family to pursue my Masters Degree overseas. I have not heard of termites attacking the web. Yeah admittedly viruses which in those old days and until today attacked us humans are now also attacking the web! But there is a solution to it nowadays because one can always overcome it by easily creating backup copies at a minimal cost. Expect me to make a backup of my destroyed slides before? Unimaginable and unthinkable then!
But there are still many records that are relevant especially the photographs collected by my beloved wife. She developed so many photographic prints since we get married. For example, I can scan the Hari Raya photographs put up a yearly entry for 25 years including the one coming soon (but of course lately they are all digital and no need to scan!) In the early years of our marriage, the yearly Hari Raya ritual was to trudge to the Kedai Gambar (Photography Shop) for a family portrait! I now noticed that the backdrop is the same red when my family portrait was taken with one, two and three children!!! The Kedai Gambar must be making lots of money!!!
I am still wondering how to sequence the write up!
My mind is still muddled how to sequence the subsequent Fotopages entries. My engineering training would necessitate me to list all the events and try to plan it using Microsoft Project so that it is on schedule and will finish by the 18th. April 2006! But I will put engineering down the drain for this effort. I am the only resource for this project I want it to be that way. If I am off target, I will give myself a reasonable extension period if the reasons are justified! But I think it will not happen!

Ma.. takde orang hensem ke kat conference tu (e.g that dude sitting left-most in third-last picture.. mcm smart jek.. but blur pic, hard to tell...)? I mean, what better place to scout me a man (or many men, I won't complain...).. yang bijak pandai, yang celik otak! Brawn AND brains 
Hehehe. Oh well.. since you've now moved on to Geneva, I guess it's too late for me to kirim some Roman cobblestones eh... (also, ingatkan nak kirim a nude Roman statue to put on my front lawn...)
